Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Junior Energy Auditor to join our growing sustainability and efficiency team in Orem, UT. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about energy conservation, renewable energy, and making a tangible impact on environmental stewardship. You will play a crucial role in assessing energy usage, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to our mission of delivering sustainable energy solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site energy audits for residential and commercial customers, collecting data on energy consumption, building envelopes, HVAC systems, lighting, and other energy-consuming equipment.
  • Utilize specialized equipment and software to analyze energy data and identify areas of inefficiency.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports detailing findings, energy saving recommendations, cost-benefit analyses, and potential payback periods.
  • Present audit results and recommendations to clients in an understandable and persuasive manner.
  • Support senior auditors and engineers with research, data entry, and report generation.
  • Stay updated on the latest energy efficiency technologies, building codes, and sustainability best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of energy conservation measures.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all audit activities.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of energy systems, building science, or related technical fields.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to client sites.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental), Energy Management, or a related field.
  • Prior coursework or projects related to energy efficiency or sustainability.
  • Familiarity with energy auditing tools or software (e.g., energy modeling software).
  • Entry-level certification such as CEM-IT (Certified Energy Manager in Training) or equivalent.
  • Experience with building codes and energy performance standards.
