Job Description
Are you looking to start a rewarding career in hospitality without prior experience? Executive Suites Hotel & Resort, Squamish is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Hotel Housekeepers / Room Attendants. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to learn the essential skills of hotel operations and contribute to our guests’ comfort and satisfaction. We provide comprehensive training, so all you need is a positive attitude and a willingness to learn! You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a welcoming and pristine environment for all our visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms according to established standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
- Make beds, change linens, and replenish amenities such as towels, soaps, and lotions.
- Dust, vacuum, and mop floors in guest rooms and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, toilets, and sinks.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items promptly.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with guests and colleagues.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and a desire to provide excellent guest service.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, but not required).
- Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus, but not essential.
- A genuine interest in starting a career in the hospitality industry.
