Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team as Hospital Porters. This is an entry-level, full-time position offering comprehensive training for motivated candidates. As a vital part of our hospital operations, you will ensure the smooth and safe movement of patients, equipment, and vital supplies across our facilities, contributing directly to the efficient delivery of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients via wheelchair, bed, or trolley between wards, departments, and other areas.
  • Move medical equipment, laboratory specimens, pharmacy supplies, and general stores throughout the hospital.
  • Deliver mail, patient records, and other urgent items to their correct destinations.
  • Assist with the safe and respectful movement of deceased patients.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of all transport equipment, including trolleys and wheelchairs.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency calls and requests.
  • Ensure a safe and tidy environment in all areas of work, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, visitors, and staff at all times.

  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform duties involving walking, pushing, and lifting.
  • A compassionate, patient-focused, and respectful approach.

  • No prior experience required; full training will be provided.

  • Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or public-facing role.
