Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious High-Rise Window Washer Ground Helper to join our professional team in Portsmouth. In this critical support role, you will be responsible for managing ropes, equipment, and ensuring the safety of our window cleaning technicians working at height. This is a vital position for individuals who are reliable, attentive to detail, and committed to upholding the highest safety standards. You will be an integral part of a team that keeps commercial and residential high-rise buildings sparkling clean.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and takedown of rigging equipment, including ropes, anchors, and safety lines, for high-rise window washing operations.
- Monitor ground-level safety, ensuring clear perimeters and safe working zones around the base of the building.
- Manage and organize ropes during the cleaning process, ensuring they are free of obstructions and properly tensioned.
- Perform routine checks on all equipment for wear, damage, and proper functioning before and after use.
- Communicate effectively with technicians working at height, using hand signals or two-way radios as required.
- Ensure all safety protocols and company procedures are strictly followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on the ground.
- Assist with equipment loading, unloading, and transportation.
- Provide basic support to the window washing team as needed.
