Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Google Social Media Strategist with a strong performance focus to join our dynamic team. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK, though our team collaboration is often centered around UK business hours. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing social media strategies specifically leveraging Google’s advertising platforms and tools to drive measurable performance outcomes. You will analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and campaign data to optimize social media efforts for maximum ROI, ensuring our clients achieve their marketing objectives through effective Google-centric social media campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies focused on performance, primarily utilizing Google's advertising platforms (e.g., YouTube Ads, Discovery campaigns, Google My Business features, etc.).
- Manage and optimize paid social media campaigns across Google properties, ensuring effective budget allocation and performance against KPIs.
- Conduct in-depth audience research, competitive analysis, and keyword research to inform strategy and targeting.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (creative, analytics, client services) to ensure integrated campaign execution and alignment with broader marketing goals.
- Stay current with the latest social media trends, Google algorithm updates, and advertising best practices.
- Develop compelling ad copy, visuals, and video content strategies tailored for Google's social and discovery platforms.
- Manage client relationships, presenting strategies, results, and recommendations clearly and professionally.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media strategy and paid social advertising, with a strong focus on performance marketing.
- Demonstrable expertise in Google Ads, specifically managing campaigns on YouTube, Discovery, and other Google-owned social properties.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, advertising platform dashboards).
- Strong understanding of social media KPIs, attribution models, and A/B testing methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Ads certification (Search, Display, Video, or Shopping).
- Experience with other social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) is a plus.
- Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
