Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Night Duty Porter to join our stable team in Southampton. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests and premises during overnight hours, with a strong emphasis on emergency support. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, capable of responding calmly and efficiently to any situation, and committed to maintaining a secure and welcoming environment throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security patrols of the premises, ensuring all access points are secure.
- Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests and emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, and security breaches.
- Assist guests with luggage and other needs, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Monitor CCTV systems and report any suspicious activity.
- Perform light maintenance tasks as required (e.g., changing lightbulbs, minor repairs).
- Handle late arrivals and early departures efficiently, ensuring a smooth check-in/check-out process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of lobby areas during quiet periods.
- Complete end-of-shift reports accurately.
Required Skills

- Basic computer literacy.
- Physical ability to lift luggage and stand/walk for extended periods.
