Job Description
Are you a budding footwear designer with a passion for athletic performance and cutting-edge style? Adidas is seeking a motivated and creative Footwear Design Intern to join our innovative design team in Oxford. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers in conceptualizing and developing new athletic footwear designs.
- Conduct trend research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and insights.
- Create sketches, technical drawings, and 3D models of footwear concepts.
- Prepare design presentations and mood boards for internal reviews.
- Collaborate with product development and material innovation teams.
- Support the creation of color palettes and material specifications.
- Participate in design critiques and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
- Organize and maintain design libraries and archives.
- Learn and apply industry-standard design software and techniques.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong sketching and rendering skills, both digital and hand-drawn.
- Basic understanding of footwear construction and materials.
- Excellent visual communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High level of creativity and a keen eye for detail.
- Passion for sports, athletic footwear, and design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Footwear Design, or a related field.
- Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., Rhino, SolidWorks, Blender, Fusion 360).
- Knowledge of athletic footwear market trends and consumer insights.
- A strong portfolio showcasing design projects, particularly in footwear or product design.
