Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on elevators and escalators.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Execute repairs and replacements of components, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and manufacturer specifications.
  • Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns promptly and efficiently.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for all service, repair, and installation work.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize work processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as local and national codes.

Required Skills

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a mechanical, electrical, or field service role.
  • Vocational training or an associate's degree in a related technical field.
  • Experience working with control systems or PLCs.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
