Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous Food Delivery Order Bagger to join our dynamic team in Aberdeen. In this essential on-site role, you will be responsible for the accurate and careful bagging of food orders from various restaurant partners within our central dispatch hub. Your primary goal will be to ensure that each order is correctly assembled, packaged, and ready for swift pickup by our network of delivery riders. This role is crucial for maintaining our high standards of service and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced and energetic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately verify contents of food orders against printed receipts and digital packing lists.
- Carefully bag and package food items, ensuring proper presentation, temperature retention, and preventing spills.
- Apply correct labels to orders for clear identification and efficient dispatch to riders.
- Organize and stage bagged orders within the dispatch area for quick and seamless pickup.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized work station in compliance with food safety standards.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with restaurant staff and delivery riders.
- Adhere strictly to all company food safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
- Assist with other dispatch-related tasks and support operational flow as needed.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain productivity in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic communication skills to interact with colleagues and riders.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift light to moderate packages (up to 10kg) throughout a shift.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service, hospitality, retail, or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with local food safety regulations and best practices.
