Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Food & Beverage (F&B) Director with a strong background in international sponsorship management to lead our F&B operations in St. Albert, Alberta. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of food and beverage services while strategically integrating and leveraging international sponsorship opportunities to enhance brand visibility and guest experience. The successful candidate will drive culinary innovation, uphold exceptional service standards, manage large-scale events, and collaborate with global marketing and partnership teams to execute high-impact sponsorship activations. This position requires a leader with a keen business acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in both premium F&B management and strategic brand partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic F&B plans that align with Marriott's global standards and local market trends.
- Oversee daily F&B operations, including restaurant, bar, banquet, and catering services, ensuring profitability and guest satisfaction.
- Identify, secure, and manage international sponsorship opportunities, ensuring seamless integration with F&B offerings and brand objectives.
- Collaborate with international marketing teams to activate sponsorships through bespoke culinary experiences and events.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing F&B team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and maximize revenue streams across all F&B outlets.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as Marriott's operational standards.
- Conduct market research to identify new F&B trends, innovative concepts, and competitive advantages.
- Represent the company at industry events and networking functions related to F&B and international partnerships.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Food & Beverage management, with at least 3 years in a Director-level role within a luxury hotel or large-scale hospitality environment.
- Proven experience in managing and activating international sponsorships or large-scale brand partnerships.
- Strong financial acumen with a track record of achieving revenue targets and managing budgets effectively.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and implement new F&B concepts.
- Extensive knowledge of F&B trends, market dynamics, and operational best practices.
- Proficiency in F&B management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management.
- Fluency in multiple languages.
- Experience with global brand standards and multi-property F&B oversight.
- Certifications in food safety and responsible alcohol service.
