Job Description
Join Purolator as a Fleet Vehicle Fueler for our night shift operations in Hull, Gatineau. In this essential role, you will be responsible for ensuring our fleet of company vehicles is fueled and ready for daily operations. This position involves working independently during the night, performing critical tasks that contribute directly to the efficiency and reliability of our logistics network. We are looking for a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to keep our fleet moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately fuel a variety of company vehicles, including vans and trucks, during the night shift.
- Monitor fuel levels and maintain records of fuel consumption.
- Perform routine checks of fluid levels (oil, washer fluid, coolant) and top up as needed.
- Conduct basic visual inspections of vehicles for any obvious damage or maintenance needs.
- Ensure fuel island and work area are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Report any vehicle defects, maintenance issues, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies related to vehicle fueling and maintenance.
- Assist with minor fleet-related tasks as required.
Required Skills
- Valid G-Class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work consistently during night shift hours.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Commitment to safety procedures and guidelines.
- Basic understanding of vehicle operations and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fleet, automotive, or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with fuel dispensing equipment.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance checks.
