Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Tally Clerk to join our FedEx Logistics team in Moreno Valley, CA. This crucial role focuses on accurate data entry and meticulous record-keeping within our logistics database, specifically for incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate will be adept at working independently, ensuring the integrity of our inventory and shipment records without direct phone interaction with external parties. Your precision will directly contribute to the smooth flow of goods and the overall efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately tally and record incoming and outgoing shipments, packages, and materials.
  • Perform extensive data entry into various logistics databases with a focus on accuracy and speed.
  • Verify counts against shipping manifests, invoices, and other relevant documentation.
  • Identify and report discrepancies or damaged goods to the appropriate supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date physical and digital records of all tallied items.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment within the staging and tallying areas.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure correct identification and staging of goods.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety and operational policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability in accurate and efficient data entry.

  • Basic proficiency with computer systems and database software (e.g., MS Office Suite).
