Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and impeccably presented Luxury Manor Porter to join our prestigious team in Hull. This role is crucial in delivering an exceptional first impression and ongoing support to our discerning guests. You will be responsible for a wide range of duties, ensuring the smooth operation of the manor house and consistently upholding our high standards of service. A keen eye for detail, a proactive approach, and a commitment to guest satisfaction are paramount for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with warmth and professionalism, assisting with luggage handling and transportation.
- Provide comprehensive information about the manor's facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Manage guest requests promptly and efficiently, liaising with other departments as necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of public areas, including lobbies, entrances, and guest amenities.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, conferences, and private functions.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Ensure security protocols are followed, including monitoring access points and reporting any suspicious activity.
- Operate and maintain manor vehicles for guest transfers when required.
- Support the concierge team with various tasks to enhance the guest experience.
- Act as a brand ambassador, reflecting the manor's commitment to luxury and service excellence.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a luxury hospitality or customer service environment (12+ months).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Impeccable personal presentation and grooming.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
- A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage.
- Full clean UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Porter, Bellhop, or Guest Services Assistant in a 4 or 5-star hotel.
- Knowledge of local attractions and points of interest in the Hull and East Riding area.
- Familiarity with luxury service standards and etiquette.
