Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Dispatch Assistant to join our busy beauty distribution team in Banbury. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of beauty products from our distribution center to our stores and online customers. You will play a crucial part in maintaining our high standards of customer satisfaction by contributing to an efficient and seamless supply chain operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised individual to contribute to a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare beauty product orders for dispatch.
- Verify outgoing shipments against order forms to ensure correctness and completeness.
- Organise and load products onto delivery vehicles, optimising space and ensuring safe transit.
- Maintain a tidy and organised dispatch area, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving goods and updating stock records.
- Communicate effectively with delivery drivers, warehouse staff, and internal teams regarding dispatch schedules and issues.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, such as pallet jacks or trolleys, if required and trained.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 15kg.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch, or logistics role.
- Familiarity with beauty products or the retail sector.
- Experience using inventory management systems.
- Valid forklift or pallet truck licence (training can be provided).
