Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Spa Water Quality Tech with a maintenance focus to join our luxurious spa team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about maintaining pristine environments and ensuring guest safety and satisfaction. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate, covering all aspects of spa water chemistry, filtration systems, and equipment maintenance. You will play a critical role in upholding the high standards of our spa facilities, ensuring optimal water quality and operational readiness for our pools, whirlpools, and other aquatic features.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly test and monitor water chemistry parameters (pH, chlorine, bromine, alkalinity, calcium hardness, etc.) in all spa aquatic features.
- Adjust chemical levels as needed to maintain optimal water balance and sanitation, following established protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of filtration systems, pumps, heaters, and other spa equipment.
- Conduct daily visual inspections of all spa areas for cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major malfunctions to the engineering department promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of water quality tests, chemical additions, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all local health regulations and company standards regarding aquatic facility operations.
- Assist with inventory management of chemicals and spa maintenance supplies.
- Provide a safe and clean environment for guests and associates.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Basic understanding of mechanics or eagerness to learn about equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks in varying environmental conditions (e.g., humidity).
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or maintenance role is a plus, but not required.
- Certification in pool/spa operation (e.g., CPO, AFO) or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Basic knowledge of water chemistry principles.
