Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Legal Inquiry Evaluator with a strong focus on legal technology to join our team. This is a 100% remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere within Canada. In this role, you will be instrumental in reviewing and evaluating complex legal inquiries, utilizing cutting-edge legal tech tools to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our legal processes. You will contribute significantly to our commitment to legal excellence and client satisfaction, navigating intricate legal landscapes and providing precise, well-documented findings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluation and analysis of legal inquiries, cases, and documentation.
- Utilize various legal technology platforms and software for advanced research, data analysis, and case management.
- Ensure all evaluations comply with relevant legal standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate summaries and reports of findings for legal teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with internal legal counsel and other departments on complex legal matters.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security protocols for all sensitive legal information.
- Stay updated on developments in legal technology and relevant legal frameworks.
Required Skills
- Proven strong analytical and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal research methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with, or a strong aptitude for learning and utilizing, legal technology platforms (e.g., e-discovery, case management systems, AI-powered legal research).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex legal concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a legal support role (e.g., paralegal, legal assistant, legal researcher).
- Certification or advanced training in legal technology or e-discovery.
- Familiarity with Canadian privacy legislation (e.g., PIPEDA) and other relevant legal compliance frameworks.
- Experience with legal document review and analysis platforms.
