Job Description
Concentrix is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our remote Security Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with foundational knowledge in cybersecurity to grow their skills and contribute to a critical function within a global organization. You will play a vital role in monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents, helping to protect our digital assets and maintain the trust of our clients. This position offers a dynamic environment where continuous learning and collaboration are highly valued. The role is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS).
- Perform initial analysis and triage of security incidents, escalating as necessary.
- Assist in the investigation of security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
- Document incident details, findings, and remediation steps.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of security monitoring playbooks and procedures.
- Participate in vulnerability management activities, including scanning and reporting.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and other IT teams to enhance overall security posture.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, network protocols (TCP/IP), and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Basic knowledge of common attack vectors and mitigation strategies.
- Ability to analyze logs and event data to identify potential security threats.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or CCNA Security.
- Experience with ticketing systems and incident response procedures.
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
