Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Work From Home Dietitian/Nutritionist to join our virtual care team. In this 100% remote role, you will provide personalized nutrition counseling and guidance to clients across Canada through secure video consultations. You will be responsible for assessing dietary needs, developing customized meal plans, offering education on healthy eating habits, and supporting clients in achieving their health and wellness goals. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual nutrition assessments for diverse clients, considering their health history, lifestyle, and dietary preferences.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans, including goal setting and ongoing progress monitoring.
- Provide evidence-based nutrition education and counseling on various topics such as weight management, chronic disease prevention and management (e.g., diabetes, heart disease), digestive health, and general wellness.
- Utilize our virtual platform effectively to deliver high-quality consultations and maintain accurate client records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure holistic client care.
- Stay current with the latest nutrition science, research, and best practices.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) credential in good standing with a Canadian provincial regulatory body.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical nutrition, private practice, or a similar counseling role.
- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and nutritional science.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically.
- Proficiency in using virtual communication platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage a client caseload effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
- Experience with tele-health or virtual counseling platforms.
- Specialized certifications in areas such as CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator), sports nutrition, or gut health.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
