Job Description
Are you passionate about fitness and eager to start your career as a coach? The Gym Group is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Junior Coach to join our team in Swansea. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are new to the fitness industry but possess a strong desire to learn, grow, and help others on their fitness journey. You will work alongside experienced coaches, gaining hands-on experience in personal training, group exercise instruction, and member engagement. We’re seeking someone with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in health and wellness. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior coaches in delivering personal training sessions and group exercise classes.
- Engage with gym members, offering guidance, support, and motivation on the gym floor.
- Help members understand proper exercise techniques and equipment usage.
- Support the creation and implementation of personalized fitness plans under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming gym environment.
- Actively participate in ongoing training and development programs.
- Handle member inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Promote The Gym Group's services and membership benefits.
- Learn to conduct fitness assessments and track member progress.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong passion for health, fitness, and helping others.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated.
- Basic understanding of exercise principles and techniques.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
- Some prior experience in a customer service role.
- Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development in fitness.
