Job Description
Are you a night owl with a passion for customer service and a knack for creating memorable experiences? Great Canadian Entertainment is seeking an energetic and dedicated Casino Slot Machine Attendant to join our dynamic team in Fredericton. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable with night shifts, and excel in roles where exceptional service can lead to high tips. As a key member of our gaming floor, you will be the face of our slot machine area, assisting guests, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to a lively and secure gaming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting guests with machine play, questions, and payout requests.
- Handle cash and process jackpot payouts accurately and efficiently, adhering to all company and regulatory procedures.
- Monitor slot machine areas for any suspicious activity, technical issues, or guest needs.
- Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on slot machines (e.g., clearing paper jams, refilling tickets).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting gaming environment.
- Adhere to all responsible gaming policies and identify guests who may require assistance.
- Communicate effectively with gaming supervisors, security personnel, and other team members.
- Actively promote casino events, promotions, and loyalty programs to guests.
- Work primarily during night shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support 24/7 operations.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
- Basic mathematical skills for processing payouts.
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be 19 years of age or older (or legal gaming age in New Brunswick).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a casino, hospitality, or customer service role.
- Knowledge of various slot machine games and operations.
- Familiarity with gaming regulations in New Brunswick.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
