Job Description

Are you passionate about bikes and eager to kickstart a career in bicycle mechanics? Atlantic Cycling Co. is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Bicycle Wheel Lacing Helper to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone with little to no prior experience in bike repair, offering a unique opportunity to learn the intricate art of wheel building and various aspects of bicycle mechanics from our experienced technicians. You’ll work closely with our service department, assisting with various tasks and gradually taking on more complex responsibilities as your skills develop. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior mechanics with bicycle wheel lacing and truing.
  • Learn to identify and categorize different spoke types, rims, and hubs.
  • Prepare components for assembly, including cleaning and organizing parts.
  • Support general workshop duties, such as cleaning, organizing tools, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
  • Help with basic bicycle assembly and tune-ups under supervision.
  • Learn about various bicycle components and their functions.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards in all tasks.
  • Assist customers with basic inquiries and direct them to appropriate staff members.
