Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Architect to join our dynamic team in Digbeth, Birmingham. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the design and delivery of diverse projects, from concept through to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural principles, building regulations, and a passion for creating innovative, sustainable, and functional spaces. You will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design process from feasibility studies to detailed design stages.
  • Develop comprehensive architectural drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Collaborate with engineers, urban planners, and other specialists within integrated project teams.
  • Manage client relationships and present design concepts effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Oversee project progress, site inspections, and resolve technical issues.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to the professional development of the team.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, sustainable practices, and innovative technologies.

Required Skills

  • RIBA Part 3 qualification or equivalent professional accreditation.
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience as a registered Architect.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations and planning processes.
  • Excellent design capabilities, technical detailing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sustainable design principles and BREEAM/LEED accreditation.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper).
  • Experience in a variety of sectors (e.g., commercial, residential, public).
  • Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2).
