Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Agricultural Equipment Mechanic to join our team in London, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced mechanics looking to advance their careers with a global leader in agricultural solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of agricultural machinery. Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests to determine the cause of equipment malfunctions and failures.
- Execute repairs, overhauls, and routine maintenance on tractors, combines, sprayers, planters, and other agricultural implements.
- Service engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and precision agriculture technology components.
- Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic software to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
- Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used accurately and thoroughly.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with new equipment and technology.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Agricultural Equipment Mechanic or similar heavy equipment role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with diagnostic tools and software.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or certification in Agricultural Equipment Technology, Heavy Equipment Repair, or a related field.
- Experience with AGCO brands (e.g., Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Challenger).
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Familiarity with precision agriculture technologies (GPS, auto-steer, yield monitoring).
