Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio and video recordings with a strong focus on accuracy and adherence to style guides, specifically for medical and legal content.

- Familiarize yourself with and apply medical and legal jargon, protocols, and privacy considerations.
- Utilize Verbit's proprietary transcription platform and tools effectively.
- Collaborate with senior transcribers and quality assurance specialists to enhance transcription quality.
- Manage assigned transcription projects and meet deadlines.
- Provide feedback on transcription tools and processes to contribute to continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program (e.g., pre-law, pre-med, English, linguistics, communications, or related fields).
- Exceptional listening skills and a keen ear for detail.
- Excellent written English communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proficiency with word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism, especially with sensitive content.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
