Job Description

Mears Group is seeking dedicated Live-in Companion Carers to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in their own homes. This unique opportunity offers rent-free accommodation within the client’s home, alongside comprehensive, fully-paid training, making it ideal for those starting a career in care or seeking a meaningful change. You will become a vital part of someone’s daily life, assisting with personal care, household tasks, medication, and, most importantly, providing engaging companionship to foster well-being and independence. Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm and engaging companionship, participating in hobbies, outings, and conversations.
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, respecting dignity and privacy.
- Administer medication according to care plans and training.
- Perform light household duties such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
- Support with mobility and transfers, using aids as required.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social engagements, or on errands.
- Monitor and report any changes in client's health or well-being to the care manager.
- Help manage diaries and appointments.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for the client.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care-giving role (formal or informal).
- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable but not essential).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
