Job Description

Are you passionate about smart home technology and dedicated to providing outstanding customer support? Currys is seeking an enthusiastic Google Home Support Pro to join our team in Dundee. In this role, you will be the front-line expert, assisting our customers with their Google Home devices and services. You will troubleshoot technical issues, provide guidance on features, and ensure a seamless smart home experience for users across the globe. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and make a real impact on our customers’ daily lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for Google Home devices and services via phone, chat, and email.
  • Diagnose and resolve customer issues related to device setup, connectivity, functionality, and integration.
  • Educate customers on Google Home features, best practices, and new product updates.
  • Document customer interactions and solutions accurately in our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate complex issues and provide feedback for product improvement.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and empathetic communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Home technologies and smart home trends.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or technical support role.
  • Strong understanding of smart home technology, particularly Google Home devices (Nest Hub, Google Home Mini, Chromecast, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other support tools.
  • A customer-first mindset with a passion for helping others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting Google products.
  • Certifications in relevant technical fields.
  • Familiarity with various smart home ecosystems and connected devices.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail or tech support environment.
