Job Description
Are you passionate about home decor and have an eye for textile design? The Bay is seeking a dedicated Sofa Cover Specialist for direct start home gigs. This is a unique opportunity to work remotely, leveraging your expertise to assist customers with custom sofa cover selections, measurements, and design advice, all from the comfort of your home office. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our customers’ living spaces, providing personalized consultations and ensuring their satisfaction with our premium range of sofa covers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual consultations with customers to understand their sofa cover needs, preferences, and design aesthetics.
- Provide expert advice on fabric types, colors, patterns, and sizing options for various sofa styles.
- Guide customers through the measurement process, ensuring accuracy for custom orders.
- Process orders and coordinate with relevant departments for production and delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current home decor trends and product offerings.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to sofa cover selections or orders.
- Develop and maintain a strong client relationship through excellent communication and follow-up.
- Achieve personal sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the home goods division.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in home decor, textile sales, or interior design.
- Strong understanding of fabrics, upholstery, and furniture styles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in virtual communication tools (e.g., video conferencing).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Customer-focused with a passion for helping clients achieve their design vision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Interior Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- Experience with CAD software or other design visualization tools.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a retail or direct sales environment.
- Familiarity with The Bay's product catalog and brand standards.
