Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Business Analyst to join our consulting team in Houston. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, organization, and analysis of market data, competitor intelligence, and internal performance metrics, with a focus on the media and entertainment sector.
- Support senior analysts and consultants in conducting financial modeling, developing business cases, and crafting strategic recommendations for corporate clients.
- Prepare clear, concise, and impactful presentations, reports, and documentation for both internal teams and client stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scopes, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Actively contribute to identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies within client organizations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, particularly within the digital streaming and entertainment landscape.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data manipulation and PowerPoint for presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship experience in consulting, business analysis, market research, or a corporate strategy role.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Basic understanding of the media and entertainment industry, including key players and market dynamics.
- Exposure to SQL or other data querying languages is a plus.
