Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Remote Google Chat Moderator to join our 24/7 community management team. This crucial role involves active monitoring, moderation, and engagement within designated Google Chat communities around the clock. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all users, upholding community guidelines, and providing timely support. This is a fully remote position, requiring flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure continuous community oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor Google Chat communities 24/7 for adherence to established guidelines and terms of service.
  • Proactively identify and address inappropriate content, spam, harassment, and other violations.
  • Respond to user inquiries, provide assistance, and escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams.
  • Engage positively with community members to foster a welcoming and interactive environment.
  • Maintain detailed records of moderation actions and community trends.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent moderation standards and best practices.
  • Stay informed on product updates and policy changes related to Google Chat and community management.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle nuances in online conversations.
  • Proficiency in using Google Chat and other Google Workspace applications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to conflict resolution.
