Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Remote Shopify Inventory Clerk to join our growing e-commerce team. This fully remote position is crucial for maintaining accurate stock levels across our Shopify platform, ensuring product availability and preventing discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Shopify and inventory management principles. You will be responsible for daily inventory updates, reconciliation, and collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless product flow from warehouse to online store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately update and manage product inventory levels within the Shopify admin panel.
  • Monitor stock discrepancies and initiate investigations to resolve issues promptly.
  • Process incoming and outgoing inventory data, including returns, transfers, and new arrivals.
  • Generate regular inventory reports to provide insights into stock movement and availability.
  • Collaborate with the warehousing, fulfillment, and customer service teams to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits.
  • Maintain clear and organized records of all inventory transactions.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to inventory management processes.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with Shopify platform, specifically inventory management functions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (data entry, basic formulas).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an e-commerce or retail inventory role.
