Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Part-time Casual Laborer to join our team in West Covina, focusing on weekend shifts with high daily pay potential. This role is perfect for individuals looking for flexible work, supplemental income, or an entry point into the retail and home improvement industry. You will be responsible for a variety of general labor tasks that support the efficient operation of our store, ensuring a safe and organized environment for both customers and associates.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with receiving and unloading merchandise, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Help organize and maintain the cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor areas.
- Support inventory management by moving products, stocking shelves, and preparing items for display.
- Perform general maintenance and upkeep tasks as assigned, including sweeping, cleaning, and light repairs.
- Operate basic equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently after proper training.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers when needed, directing them to products or services.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure working environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, especially for scheduled weekend shifts.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic communication skills to interact with colleagues and customers.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labor, warehouse, or retail environment.
