Job Description
Are you looking for a great seasonal opportunity to work outdoors and learn valuable skills? AquaCare Pool Services is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Pool Maintenance Helper. This is an entry-level position perfect for those with little to no prior experience, as comprehensive training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of various residential and commercial pools throughout Norwich and the surrounding areas. This seasonal role offers the chance to work alongside experienced technicians, develop practical skills in pool chemistry, equipment operation, and general maintenance, and enjoy a dynamic work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with routine pool cleaning tasks, including skimming, vacuuming, and brushing pool surfaces.
- Learn and assist with monitoring and adjusting pool chemical levels (pH, chlorine, alkalinity) under supervision.
- Help maintain and clean pool equipment, such as filters, pumps, and heaters.
- Empty skimmer baskets and ensure pool areas are tidy and free of debris.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or significant pool issues to a senior technician.
- Safely handle and store pool chemicals and equipment according to company guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service while on client properties.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to changing tasks.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid UK driving license and access to reliable transport (preferred but not essential, as team transport may be provided).
- Prior experience in outdoor work or manual labor is a plus, but not required.
