Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Fulfillment Tech with a focus on sorting and shipping to join our dynamic team in Frisco, TX. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of prescription medications, ensuring they are correctly sorted, packed, and prepared for shipment to patients. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly contribute to our mission of providing timely and reliable healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort medications into designated bins or areas based on prescription details and shipping labels.
- Prepare and pack prescription orders securely for shipment, ensuring correct medication, quantity, and patient information.
- Operate automated sorting and packaging equipment, performing routine checks and basic troubleshooting.
- Verify outgoing shipments against manifest or order details to prevent errors and ensure compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations, pharmacy laws, and company policies regarding patient privacy and medication handling.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production and shipping targets.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisory staff promptly.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to upholding patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, warehouse, or fulfillment center setting.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terms or medication handling.
- Experience with automated sorting or packaging systems.
