Job Description
Are you a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for movies and TV shows? Netflix is expanding its team of Content Taggers to help categorize and enhance our vast library of content. In this 100% remote role, you will be responsible for applying accurate metadata tags to various film and television titles, ensuring that our members can easily discover content that matches their interests. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact the Netflix member experience from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Watch and analyze a wide range of film and television content.
- Accurately apply a comprehensive set of metadata tags (e.g., genre, subgenre, themes, moods, character types, plot elements) to content.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to Netflix's established tagging guidelines and taxonomy.
- Provide clear, concise, and objective descriptions of content.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve tagging processes and tools.
- Stay updated on content trends and tagging best practices.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Profound knowledge and passion for film and television content across various genres.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn new software and tools.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances and global content appeal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in content tagging, data entry, or metadata management.
- Background in film studies, media arts, library science, or a related field.
