Job Description
BayCare Health System is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Visiting Home Health Aide to join our growing home health team in Tampa, FL. As a Visiting Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care and support services to patients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and improve their quality of life. This role involves traveling to various patient residences within the Tampa area, offering flexible scheduling options and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with those you serve. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide light housekeeping tasks relevant to the patient's immediate environment.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Assist with prescribed exercises and mobility as directed by a healthcare professional.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Document care provided accurately and timely.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and the healthcare team.
Required Skills
- Current Florida Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or CNA license.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proof of automobile insurance.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to perform duties independently and manage a caseload of patients.
- Basic computer skills for documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience as a Home Health Aide or CNA in a home health setting.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are a plus.
