Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Triage / Telehealth Nurse to join our innovative remote care team. This critical role involves providing professional nursing care and advice to patients over the phone or via video consultation, assessing their symptoms, providing medical guidance, and coordinating appropriate follow-up care. The ideal candidate will be adept at critical thinking, patient education, and maintaining meticulous documentation. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and video assessments of patient symptoms and health concerns.
- Utilize clinical judgment and established protocols to provide appropriate medical advice and disposition.
- Educate patients on health conditions, medication, and self-care strategies.
- Coordinate referrals to appropriate healthcare providers, specialists, or emergency services.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and recommendations accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all ethical and professional nursing standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in telehealth and nursing.
Required Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nevada (or eligibility for licensure).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care, emergency, or primary care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and empathetically.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple patient interactions simultaneously.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to work with a diverse patient population.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience in a triage or telehealth nursing role.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish).
- Experience with international patient care protocols or visa sponsorship processes.
