Job Description

Spire Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Sleep Clinic Night Technician (Trainee) in Poole. As a Trainee Night Technician, you will play a vital role in monitoring patients during their sleep studies, ensuring their comfort, and accurately collecting crucial data that aids in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals with no prior experience in sleep medicine but a strong desire to learn and make a difference. This role operates exclusively on night shifts, essential for capturing accurate sleep data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients during overnight sleep studies using Polysomnography (PSG) equipment.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their stay in the sleep clinic.
  • Accurately document observations, events, and data collected during the sleep study.
  • Assist with the application and removal of sensors and electrodes for sleep monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues under supervision and escalate as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
  • Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to sleep diagnostics.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure hygiene standards.

Preferred Qualifications
