Job Description
Join Allied Universal as a Weekend Event Security Officer for concerts, festivals, and other exciting events in the New Port Richey area. This is a part-time, casual position perfect for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain valuable experience, or contribute to public safety in dynamic environments. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of attendees by maintaining order, responding to incidents, and providing excellent customer service. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills you need to succeed. Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points.
- Control access to venues, verify credentials, and manage crowd flow efficiently.
- Respond to emergencies, such as medical incidents, fires, or disturbances, and provide immediate assistance.
- Enforce venue policies and procedures, addressing violations respectfully and professionally.
- Liaise with event staff, emergency services, and management to ensure coordinated security efforts.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service to event attendees, offering directions and assistance as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often outdoors.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as required by event schedules.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, customer service, or a related field (not mandatory).
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Ability to obtain a Florida Security Officer License (Class D) – company can assist with process.
