Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a University Dining Hall Busser and play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment for students and staff at Berwick College. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and are eager to contribute to a positive campus experience. You will be responsible for quickly clearing tables, assisting with dishware, and ensuring the dining hall is always ready for our next guests. Key Responsibilities
- Promptly clear dirty dishes, glassware, and cutlery from dining tables.
- Wipe down tables and chairs, ensuring they are clean and sanitized for new guests.
- Transport soiled dishware to the dishwashing area efficiently and safely.
- Restock clean dishes, silverware, and condiments as needed.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the dining hall floor and service areas.
- Support kitchen staff and servers as required during busy periods.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor with students and staff.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a food service or hospitality setting (e.g., restaurant, cafeteria, or catering).
- Familiarity with university dining operations.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
