Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Concrete Mixer Driver to join our dynamic team for immediate local site work in Olathe, Kansas. This is a crucial role responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of ready-mix concrete to various construction sites. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a concrete mixer truck safely and efficiently on public roads and job sites.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order.
  • Load concrete mixer trucks accurately with specified concrete mixes from the batch plant.
  • Safely transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to various construction sites within the Olathe area.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery tickets, and other required documentation.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, site personnel, and batch plant operators.
  • Clean and maintain the concrete mixer truck to company standards.
  • Assist with minor truck maintenance as needed.
  • Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents promptly.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience, preferably with concrete mixers or similar heavy vehicles.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating rear-discharge concrete mixer trucks.
  • Knowledge of concrete mix designs and properties.
  • Familiarity with the Olathe/Kansas City metropolitan area road network.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
