Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Concrete Mixer Driver to join our dynamic team for immediate local site work in Olathe, Kansas. This is a crucial role responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of ready-mix concrete to various construction sites. If you have a strong commitment to safety, a valid CDL, and are ready to hit the ground running, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a concrete mixer truck safely and efficiently on public roads and job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order.
- Load concrete mixer trucks accurately with specified concrete mixes from the batch plant.
- Safely transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to various construction sites within the Olathe area.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery tickets, and other required documentation.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, site personnel, and batch plant operators.
- Clean and maintain the concrete mixer truck to company standards.
- Assist with minor truck maintenance as needed.
- Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience, preferably with concrete mixers or similar heavy vehicles.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating rear-discharge concrete mixer trucks.
- Knowledge of concrete mix designs and properties.
- Familiarity with the Olathe/Kansas City metropolitan area road network.
- High School Diploma or GED.
