Job Description
Join the Kal Tire team as a Mobile Tire Care Technician, specializing in pressure and tread checks! This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn about tire maintenance and provide essential mobile services to our valued clients in the Halifax area. You will be responsible for conducting routine tire inspections, ensuring optimal tire pressure, and assessing tread wear for various vehicle types directly at customer locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently. We provide comprehensive training and all necessary tools and equipment to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site tire pressure checks for a variety of vehicles.
- Accurately measure and record tire tread depth.
- Identify and report potential tire issues such as punctures, bulges, or uneven wear.
- Provide basic recommendations to customers regarding tire maintenance and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service vehicle and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Complete digital inspection reports and service documentation accurately.
- Represent Kal Tire professionally and courteously at all customer interactions.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry tires (up to 50 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with tire types and basic vehicle components.
- Certification in automotive or tire service (an asset but not required).
- Experience using mobile service equipment.
