Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Distribution Center Hands to join our dynamic team in Markham. This crucial role involves various tasks within our state-of-the-art distribution facility, ensuring the smooth flow of goods. You will be responsible for handling products from receiving to dispatch, operating equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and inspecting for damages.
  • Unload, sort, and stage products efficiently and safely.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately according to customer specifications.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling, weighing, and loading.
  • Operate various warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks (certification preferred, but training may be provided).
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and proper storage procedures.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
  • Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck).
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
