Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hospitality Revenue Management Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the critical function of revenue management within a leading hotel group. You will work closely with our revenue management professionals, learning how to analyze market trends, optimize pricing strategies, and contribute to maximizing hotel profitability. You will be instrumental in supporting our efforts to drive strategic growth and enhance our competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market data, competitive intelligence, and historical performance trends.
  • Support the revenue management team in daily and weekly reporting, including pick-up reports, pace reports, and forecast updates.
  • Help monitor pricing and inventory on various distribution channels to ensure rate parity and optimal availability.
  • Participate in revenue strategy meetings, contributing insights and learning about decision-making processes.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to identify opportunities for revenue optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Aid in the preparation of presentations and summaries for management on revenue performance and market conditions.
  • Learn to use revenue management systems and tools to support data-driven decisions.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, pivot tables, basic formulas).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated passion for the hospitality industry and revenue management.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry concepts and terminology.
  • Previous experience with data analysis software or revenue management systems is a plus (e.g., Opera, SynXis, IDeaS, Duetto).
  • Basic understanding of statistical methods and their application to business problems.
