Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Catering Van Loader to join our bustling operations in Belfast. This essential role involves the efficient and safe loading and unloading of catering vans, ensuring all warmers, coolers, and food containers are correctly placed for delivery. You will be responsible for performing heavy lifting and working meticulously to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety within a fast-paced environment. This position is critical to our catering delivery process, ensuring our clients receive their orders on time and in perfect condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately load and unload catering vans with food items, beverages, warmers, coolers, and equipment according to delivery schedules and specifications.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely and repeatedly throughout shifts.
- Organize and stack items efficiently within the vans to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify loaded items against checklists to ensure order accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized loading dock and storage areas.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including food safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and drivers to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation as required.
- Operate pallet jacks or other manual lifting equipment as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25kg) and physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate loading.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.

- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or catering support role.
