Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shopify Developer with a strong emphasis on Liquid programming to join our growing e-commerce team. As a Senior Liquid Programmer, you will be instrumental in developing, optimizing, and maintaining our Shopify Plus storefronts, ensuring high performance, scalability, and an outstanding user experience. You will collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, contributing directly to our digital growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of custom Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to translate wireframes and mockups into pixel-perfect, responsive Shopify experiences.
- Optimize Shopify stores for speed, conversion, and SEO performance.
- Integrate and configure third-party Shopify apps and APIs to enhance store functionality.
- Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to best practices for maintainability and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex front-end and back-end issues related to Shopify platform.
- Stay current with Shopify platform updates, new features, and emerging e-commerce trends.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Shopify Developer with a strong portfolio.
- Expert-level proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating language.
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/Sass), and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with Shopify Plus platform features and development best practices.
- Proven ability to integrate with third-party APIs and custom Shopify apps.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Deep understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Experience with headless Shopify implementations (e.g., React, Vue.js).
- Familiarity with performance optimization tools and techniques for e-commerce sites.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO best practices.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
