Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual for a Remote Data Management role. This is a long-term, 100% work-from-home position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to critical data initiatives within a leading technology company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of vital company data, supporting various departments in their analytical and operational needs. This role requires a strong understanding of data principles, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain data integrity across various databases and systems.
- Perform regular data quality checks and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and execute data import/export processes and scripts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Create and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries and process flows.
- Support data migration and integration projects.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory standards.
- Provide user support and training on data-related tools and processes.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python for data automation.
- Previous experience in a long-term remote role.
