Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Shopify Business Analyst with a strong focus on e-commerce strategy to join our growing digital team. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing our Shopify platform, analyzing e-commerce performance, identifying strategic opportunities, and translating business needs into technical requirements. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions and enhance our online customer journey. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of contributing to successful e-commerce initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of e-commerce performance, user behavior, and conversion funnels on the Shopify platform.
- Identify and prioritize strategic opportunities for platform enhancement, feature development, and process improvements.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear, concise, and actionable functional specifications for development teams.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and development teams to define, test, and implement new features and integrations on Shopify.
- Perform A/B testing, analyze results, and provide recommendations for optimizing site performance and user experience.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging e-commerce technologies to inform strategy.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings to stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing support and training to internal teams on Shopify functionalities and best practices.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across various e-commerce analytics tools and systems.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on e-commerce platforms.
- Demonstrable expertise with the Shopify platform (Shopify Plus experience preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum).
- Understanding of e-commerce best practices, SEO, and UX/UI principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or Project Management (e.g., PMP, CSM).
- Previous experience in the retail or apparel industry.
