Job Description
Join the Walmart team as an Order Picker, where you will play a crucial role in our distribution center operations. This position involves using cutting-edge voice picking technology to accurately and efficiently select merchandise for our stores. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success. We are looking for motivated individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Your contribution will directly impact our ability to deliver products to customers across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize voice picking systems to accurately locate and select products from warehouse shelves.
- Operate various types of warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and efficiently after training.
- Verify product quantities and ensure quality control before packaging.
- Stage picked orders for shipment to retail stores.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in regular training and development programs.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and colleagues.
Required Skills
- Ability to listen and follow verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and verification.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Capability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all operational guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies (e.g., voice picking systems).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
