Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Hotel Porter to join our prestigious team at Hilton Sheffield Hotel. This role is crucial for ensuring our guests have a seamless and enjoyable stay, from arrival to departure. You will be responsible for assisting guests with their luggage, providing information, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our public areas. Key Responsibilities
- Assist guests with luggage, ensuring timely and careful handling upon arrival and departure.
- Escort guests to their rooms and provide information about hotel facilities and services.
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel lobby, entrance, and other public areas.
- Handle incoming and outgoing deliveries and packages.
- Support the front desk and other departments as needed.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, safety standards, and security procedures.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong physical stamina to lift and move luggage (up to 20kg).
- Reliable and punctual with a professional demeanor.
- A positive attitude and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and pass a DBS check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of the local area and attractions.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
