Job Description
Join The Princeton Review as a Work From Home Admissions Essay Reviewer for our seasonal peak! This is a 100% remote, temporary position perfect for individuals with a strong command of written English, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for helping students craft compelling personal statements and essays. You will provide critical feedback and guidance to applicants, enhancing their essays’ clarity, structure, and impact while ensuring their unique voice shines through. This role is crucial during our busiest application cycles, demanding efficiency and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and provide constructive, detailed feedback on college admissions essays (personal statements, supplements, activity essays) within specified deadlines.
- Identify areas for improvement in essay structure, grammar, syntax, style, and thematic development.
- Offer suggestions that enhance the essay's impact, clarity, and overall effectiveness while preserving the student's authentic voice.
- Ensure feedback is encouraging, actionable, and aligned with best practices for college admissions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student information and application materials.
- Communicate effectively with program managers regarding workload, progress, and any student-specific concerns.
- Participate in remote training sessions and calibration exercises as required.
Required Skills
- Exceptional command of English grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Proven ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive written feedback.
- Strong understanding of the college admissions essay landscape and expectations.
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
